It's difficult to get a straight answer to your question about that because very few people seem to know. A manager who is told that a region or product is making money will be let go the next day. As stations change formats, or their traffic needs change, metro lays off people rather than trying to sell more. It's a very strange, strange, place. On the other hand, if your traffic gig is as a morning TV presenter, it could get you a foot in the door for other on air work in larger markets...lots of face time.
