I'll agree that it is shallow to judge Bonner by her weight, but we are in a shallow business.......and even if you want to disregard her plumpness, pull a swim move around her complete lack of talent (does she know enough about sports to define "swim move"?)
She is awkward/clumsy/fumbling on 2-shots, and uninspiring on OTS shots.....her highlights are weak, virtually devoid of humor, and the adlibs are weaker than her ability to resist ho-hos
I agree that the quality of anchors is in decline overall....Neil "hey-how's-it" Everett is a Hawaiin joke, and Fred Hickman seems nice, but is one of the squarest/most boring anchors I've ever seen (do I care what his son's little leage team is named?) Hickman and Bonner together are simply unwatchable, and my respect for Jaffe's talent judging ability is in rapid decline |

but you gotta remember, espn's no longer really IN the market for real talent.
they've gotten so big that management now thinks they can put pretty much ANYONE on and people will still watch.
and the sad part is, they might be right.
