I am in the process of interviewing a position in Indy. They are wanting to start up an office and need Manager type people. The way it was explained to me is someone that wants to do Sales and still be fully billable on a project. I came from Big 4 and I am currently at a local private consulting group. Not sure what to do. I don't want to miss an opportunity where I can get my feet wet in sales, but I don't want to get into a position that I'll hate in 6mths. |

Their Sales job is basically staffing consultants. It could be a java perosn or any IT staffing opportunity. Their Sales people normally lookup monster or dice web sites for staffing opportunities in particular city and then try to hire candidates from markets. They do have some projects whoch thry manage on their own. But they is no Big 4 environment in terms of work or culture. They would force you to take vacation (if you have any) if you are not assigned on projects.
I don't know about your situation, but if you have worked for a Big 4, you wouldn't want to join Sogeti.
