actually, Oracle does include in their background check education and credentials, previous employers for dates and titles, criminal as well as credit from what I was told and was able to independently confirm. As an employee I would certainly refuse but no doubt Oracle offers positions only if agree to the background.
Typically employers have thresholds and policies on such things regarding use. So for instance a credit score of -600 may be an automatic disqualification or dates that aren't consistent. If they don't have a threshold
then companies usually turn the information over to the hiring manager for disposition. I'm not sure if or what threaholds Oracle uses. |

If you are denied employment solely on the basis of credit and the job has nothing to do with handling money then litigate. As I stated earlier, credit checks have nothing to do with software and are solely a way of excluding non-H1B's from employment.
Think about it, no one in India or Russia has a credit file so they will always have artificially high scores. Also, your credit and identity can be easily stolen and changed to some H1B.
