I get along very well with everyone at work, yet feel I'm a total failure in the art of schmoozing, I don't follow any games, or play any, yet do my job very well, and am more knowledgeable than most of my colleagues. Everybody recognizes what I do, yet I'm not part of the "Inner Circle". HOw do I change this? |

This from the Schmoozing book:
"According to a 1996 Psychology Today Survey, close to half of all Americans describe themselves as shy...but shyness can be overcome with practice. Winston Churchill, one of the great speechmakers of the 20th Century, supposedly passed out the first time he addressed Parliament. Behavior is self-reinforcing. A schmoozer becomes more comfortable with people by schmoozing." Voila!
