I am curious as to what the minimum requirements are for an FI S+T entry-level job such as a Sales Asst. (I know I am opening the door for sarcasm here, so serious replies only please.) Is an internship necessary for this position?
I understand there is opportunity for advancement and the job is definitely not dead-end. I also understand that these positions can be lucrative short term and include bonuses.
How important are grades vs. a killer work ethic, competitive nature and strong communication abilities? Is an Economics degree necessary? What other skills are recommended to have going into an interview?
Any insight into qualification requirements, starting pay, and necessary tools to have would be much appreciated.
