First of all, TRADING IS NOT EASY!!!! Especially if you're trading equities. Most people who used to trade stock would Make Markets b/c that was the safest way to make money. Now, that business is dead, and most people just take positions (day trade, swing trade, etc). AND THAT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO BEAT THE MARKET. If it wasn't, everybody and their mother would be doing it. If you trade stock, what's your edge? What are you doing that's different than anyone else out there? Because just having a Nasdaq level II screen doesn't cut it these days!! |

thats why its called 'Sales & Trading'.
traders buy 'bid wanted' items from their sales force and re-offer them at the 'ask'.
they make the spread. this is clearly not day trading.... anyone who tries to day trade the market @ one of those chop shops is a moron and deserves to fail.
