I've been trading power crude and natural for about 2 years now.........i'm bored with the credit issues and political bullshit associated with the products. I work for company that is not in a good place.....I made 5 million this year for my company and am not going to get paid. It sucks. So i'm just looking for something else to do a different whatever to trade. Clerking the nymex is a great place to start some of the best commodity guys I know started there. I hate the fact that I have to start all over with this being a clerk/assistant with a different product. I have successfully traded 3 products simultaneously and now I have to have some guy that wants to be gordon gecko tell me how to trade equities....yeah right.
Commodities are easy to trade.....understand volatility....& ONLY be long vol. you can go short anything else just be long the vol...what pit are you going to be in?? I'll ask for you the next time I call the floor. I'm thinking about going back to school but I wanted to get paid before I went....guess that isn't going to happen....
I'm not all that bulled up about the SIG thing but i'll do it for interview sake....

I dont start until Feb 3rd. I dont know where ill be yet. Ill probably be all over the place. training lasts no more than a year, then ill probably start trading gold or silver options when promoted.
What is your opinion on the following payout system? when promoted to trader ill get a draw and 40% of the first 100G I make, 50% of the next 150G and 60% of anything over that.
What other firms are you looking at for equities?
