In Reply To: Check out the compensation thread. Also, TMP has a salary survey. But it is all so firm specific. I mean, salary and bonus vary from firm to firm. And then, you have think about stock options, when they vest, how much you get, strike price...health plans, perks, 401Ks and all kinds of other compensation. So the answer is...it varies. Check out careers-in-business.com for a salary overview. And also, you have to think about your performance. Really, in the end, a trader's performance determines salary. That's all that's important. I guess you could find an average number. But what would that show? Is there such a thing as an "average" trader? I used to worry about this kind of shit until I realized that if I just concern myself with daily performance, the money will just come.
Message: sorry if i am ignorant but could you please explain what tmp and a compensation thread are thanks.
