You have posted in three threads during the last hour the market is open. You suspect me to believe that you work at SLK, Herzog, or Knight...and have a job other than the guy who pushes the buttons in the elevator? |

are you in the business? if you are, is my answer below [more or less] sufficient to provide my bona fides? how about yours? care to define manning?
after i just finished posting to the below question, i wondered after your vitriol thursday- did you make it out to tavern or to dish-- ? or is stany not your thing? i must have impresed you to take the time to flame me while everyone else at work was heading out for their prestany drinks and plots. personally i thought the band at dish was great, if a little loud but the beef was among, if not THE best i have ever tasted.
another query- i do not know any traders/ mms who are still at their screens after 1604- hell, most assts are through with institutional payouts by 1610- unless they are brand new. and after staring at a screen from 800 through 1600, i don;t know of any who are prone to surfing an hour after the close. do you live exceptionally close to your firm, that you are home and surfing in less than an hour? most traders do sufficient surfing during the day when their lists are slow to fill their needs- candystand.com is quite popular.
btw- i have not been an elevator operator, but i have worked construction, served my country, tended bar, washed dishes, done light mechanical work, worked for others and have had my own business, and have nothing but admiration for anyone that gets up in the morning and goes to work performing some apparently menial but potentially integral task for some ungrateful punk whose daddy opened a door to the best business in the world. you remind me of the kids i went to grad school with, on their daddy's ticket and straight from undergrad, who had never held a job in their life and who at the age of 23 had never filed a tax return, who would treat the admin staff like draft horses and couldn't understand why it took them so long to get anything accomplished. if i were you, i would not let anyone in your office get me coffee, including your asst.
i am not interested in engaging in a flame fest. if you would like to converse about the business and exchange those obsesrvations that would not put either of us - if you are in the industry- at risk, please feel free to respond- otherwise your silence will be sufficient acknowledgement that you concede all of the above and that you cannot define manning. period.
