Let me put it simply so you can understand: If you think it is proper to go to work wearing jeans and T-shirts then it is you that has the problem, not the new culture of business or smart casual. You are revealing that you are really clueless if you have never heard of the term smart casual but that is another story. I remember when I was a little boy, one knew which pants went with which shirt because they would have the same pictures of animals on the tags when you bought them. Maybe we could resurrect a similar idea for dopey adults like you. And if you still have trouble understanding, you could start wearing suits and ties yourself. (Somehow, despite your tirade, I doubt that you are wearing them now.)
