I am interested in the financial analyst position at GS's trading operations in both the HQ and it's companies such as Hull and SLK. I will be graduating next year and am therefore researching the opportunities. How hard is it to get into the GS Trading division, espcially for a non-ivy state schooler with good grades. In addition, what is the prestige of such a job? Is Investment Banking (i.e. corporate finance) much harder to get into, in other words more prestigious, or is getting an analsyt/AT offer in S&T extremely hard (which is what I've read on some of the posts on these boards)? Will I get more out of GS Equities or Hull/SLK? Thanks in advance for all the input.
