Intellectually Challenging? |

I'm considering a career change post MBA either into Sales & Trading or Investment Management. Pre-MBA I worked in a top strategy consultancy.
S&T seems to be the easiest field to get into for the summer (more standardised summer associate programmes), but I'm worried about leaving consulting for S&T in case it is really "just sales" and doesn't require much intellectual activity.
Can people with experience in the field enlighten me how stimulating they have found S&T in intellectual terms? Is it a completely crazy career move or does it have good prospects? |

Who cares about intellectually challenging? You want mentally tough then go for the buy side. But really do you want to be mentally stimulated or do you want to make a lot of money? I guarantee that the hardest part of the sales will be the psychological challenges.
