I have realized that I can no longer tolerate the lifestyle of an IB analyst. I am going into my senior year and have had three internships at BB firms. All have been great experiences but I value my time too much. As an undergrad from an IVY with a 3.5 GPA and tons of experience in IB what entry positions are available for me in trading, and how long does it take to start trading on your own? Also what is the entry position in IS?
Thanks |

It probably differs across firms. I think JP Morgan is 6 months training followed by 2 years as an analyst, however I don't know if you actually do anything worth a f*** during those two years. For graduate entry in WestLB it is one month of training followed by lots of rotations on the different desks for one year, then they expect you to "enter a revenue generating role".
