Gastrader, i gotta tell u, its a good thing ur here!
In the UK, from what i understand, recruitnment is far more formal than in the US. I have to apply for internships by applying through online app forms. I don't think i could send my cv to someone and have them pass it on.
Furthermore, everyone asks for A-level grades. What position is "decision-making power"? I'm at University College London.
pls drop me an email at ba97aaabrunel@yahoo.co.uk when u have a second, as u really seem to know ur stuff.
Cheers, Ben
PS I'll post u a pint-voucher! |

True, recuriting is more formal in the UK but that also provides an opportunity to stick out even more! Do what you will but I guarantee your chances are better by sending someone your CV than applying online, especially to the smaller firms.
Maybe you should leave your A-levels on your CV but I never included them on mine and I was never asked about them.
Decision Maker: Someone who has the ability to hire you i.e. the head of a trading desk (not HR which only has the ability to request paperwork and arrange interview plans)
