I have a relatively complicated situation and was hoping for some advice. I recently joined an I-Bank as a lateral hire about 5 months ago. I negotiated and accepted what I thought was a somewhat fair offer. Now, come bonus time, the bank I work at has screwed me with a completely shitty bonus and is going back on every promise they made in my offer. Had I stayed at my previous job, I would have made significantly more than in my present job. Here is the issue though, the offer as presented to me was completely different from what they are saying now. Essentially, the job I was offered was not in fact the job that I accepted and now I am fucked having walked away from a large some of money. Is there anything that I can do, as it was clearly unfair to offer me a job on false pretenses? |

It may help you if you would reframe from the use of profanity when asking for advice. If you use that type of language around the office, I wonder if your employer realizes they made a mistake and are attempting to send you a message.
