What companies sometimes do is bring in lots of potential candidates, and have an interview day set aside. They do this to save time, and to rotate candidates around to different staff. It's just more efficient to interview 10 candidates in one day, than to scatter them around on a lot of other days. Also you're right they want to see what quality candidates may apply at a later date also, before making a decision. They want to evaluate as many people as possible to get the best candidates. Wait about 2 more weeks and contact them again if they have not contacted you. |

Useful to follow up. Sometimes, companies forget or are piled with so many candidates that the ones that bother to call get ahead. If they know you or remember you, you stand a better chance. So follow up.
