Correct me if I'm wrong but investment banking the highest-paying profession of all?
If it is, are there any other careers which are close seconds?
I'm in high school right now and I'd like to examine different careers/industries.

If you're purely interested in money, there is a clue in the message "Hey Kid." Here is what the poster wrote: "Private Client Services (PCS) is selling to High Net Worth individuals...it's good hours... You meet some really cool people (literally CEOs, professional athletes, TV/movie stars).
The poster was suggesting working as an investor for these "really cool people." I would like to suggest that if you are extremely talented, driven, and lucky, you can actually BE one of these "really cool people." I'm talking about having more imagination and bravery than aiming for i-banking. I'm talking about those High Net Worth people who take extraordinary risks and are (sometimes) paid extraordinary sums of money. Think along the lines of Tiger Woods, Bill Gates, George Clooney, etc. You get the picture? Cultivate some extraordinary talent, develop a rare combination of attributes and see if you can come up with something more creative than i-banking and other traditional things! You're still young enough to not be so practical -- I'd suggest following your heart, like one of the other posters urged.
