Hi all,
Just receive an offer for a senior IB analyst (2nd/3rd Year) at the HK office of a european bank. The team is quite a good one in their sector coverage and the asian franchise is rather strong.
As much as I love to take it up, I am afraid I am bring short-changed by the HR in terms of the package. Would like to hear some advice on the rough package for HK IB analyst.
My package is approximately US$80,000 per annum, relocation benefits (shipping, air tickets, temp 1-month accomodation). But there is no housing allowance, taxes are not paid, no sign-on bonus.
Is this a fair package?
Cheers,

this is wayy late for your original posting, but your salary is spot on for the average 2/3rd yr analyst package. No housing allowance in HK - it's not a hardship posting! - taxes are only 16%, why would they be paid? - sign-ons usually reserved for more senior hires. Go for it. Very fair package.
