I plan to work two years with a law firm and go back to school for either an LL.M. or an MBA. Since my interest is commercial or international law. I have an interest in starting my own law firm later on. My question is: Which would serve my needs best: LL.M. or MBA? |

LLMs are very specialized, so unless you really want to make a name for yourself as, for instance, and int'l tax lawyer, I don't see much benefit there. MBA can get you out of law (if you want some day), will help you run your business, and give you tons of credibility with corporate clients. I have a JD/MBA, btw, so I know what I'm talking about!:) Cheers.
