In all fairness...
While most larger recruiting firms suck, quite the opposite is true with the smaller agencies.
Most of recuriters at the smaller 'Mom & Pop' firms DO care about the long-term reputation of their firm rather than simply trying to meet their quotas. The don't want to waste your time, their time, or the client's time trying to screw people over. |

SOME RECRUITERS JUST WANT RESUMES - NOT YOU - JUST RESUME COLLECTING: Advantech Solutions, Inc.
They've asked for my resume about 6 times over the past 8 months but they have no assignments. Yes, my resume changes but not THAT much that quickly. They once asked for my resume for a 'friend'. Since the 'assignment' was offered as a telecommuting assignment I jumped at it. When nothing happened after a week I asked about the status and got no response. When I asked who the 'friend' was I was told that they couldn't divulge that. When I questioned what was really going on, was there really a 'friend'?, I got hostility.
Place Advantech Solutions on your 'Bullshit Artists' list. If you like submitting your resume to a company for the sole purpose of building up their database but without any purpose for you, then these people are for you. Anyone out there that dumb?
