Why did you not believe him? What did you read in between the lines?
"I don't understand what took him out of the game for 8 years! He did not tell me this when we spoke..."
Didn't you ask him? Isn't a recruiter PAID to ask that?
Why are you so suspicious? Perhaps you have been a recruiter too long because you seem to be looking for the worst in people rather than the best.

If you can't get the job done then he certainly needs to work with someone who has the confidence to do the job.
Just too much cynicism. This would seem to validate the use of younger recruiters by firms, rather than those in their 40s, due to this sense of cynicism.

I like the fact that you quoted text via cut/paste. By doing that you insure that you are getting it correct. I see that 2 recruiters, Frick & Frack, spew the usual bilge when they read something they don't like. They really do appear in pairs.
I don't know what to believe about them. It is really one person or two. Who cares. However, the key thing mentioned, and I've noticed this also is that when you and others use the cut/paste method and issue your comments, you get the most venom.
I guess some people just can't handle their comments being commented about. What it comes down to is this, this message board is out there for the world to see, and if you don't want your comments quoted later and opened up to commentaries, then you should just keep your mouth shut. This is a voluntary activity.
As for me, after reading various threads and leaving messages, and seeing some of the crazy retorts out here, I've learned to start to ignore messages based upon board ID. Some I read, some I ignore, like Frick & Frack.
