Did anyone see the survey results at RealRates.com? 33% or respondents said they responded to phony job ads, which they didn't realize were phony until they talked to recruiters. |

I'm wondering how respondents determine conclusively that the ads they are responding to are phony?
Do the recruiters tell them it was phony?
What about all the positions which recruiters can be working on, only to be told by the company that they are now on hold, or there has been a buyout, a freeze, etc. Then all the respondents who have submitted their info before the position can be removed from ALL boards, must be told the news...freeze, on hold, buyout etc...do they assume then that it was just a phony ad?
Or do they assume it's phony if they don't get a response to their submittal?
I'm just wondering how it is determined conclusively that the ad is phony.
Thanks.
