I agree there are many good reasons people declare bankruptcy. However for our chief financial officer or really any financial positions if that is evidenced in the background check the candidate is rejected. Clients always stipulate a clean credit record for those positions. I can't blame them I guess!
I have another scenario for you, what is your view on candidates who have moved around a lot? I mean some resumes I look at there's a new position every year or so,literally going back to 1980 so not just recently. These are not contract positions. In general my clients will not look at resumes with a lot of movement between companies. I have had some candidates come back to me with the argument in this day in age nobody stays put for 10 years somewhere anymore..I get that,but where do you draw the line? |

Juming from one place to another is never a positive sign - 3 years here and 3 years there is a much different story than 8 months here and 6 months there -
If i were to come across someone like that - I would ask then to take it off their resume - which leads into the loss of time - see down the thread.................
