Okay, good point...but, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they are several different contractors (as opposed to one or two) who enjoy coming in here to hassle recruiters.
It's apparent to me that they have networked to some degree and have spread the word in this cyber kingdom that Vault is a great place to take out all their petty frustrations on recruiters...rather than owning and accepting accountability for their misfortunes and struggles.
For the young puppies (which I believe many of them are), they are still at a place in their lives where blaming someone...anyone...for their problem is far easier than taking responsibility for them. It makes them feel better about themselves...or so they think.
It's clear there is a lack of experience in their little lives and only with a few more years of contracting under their belts, will they finally come to the realization that they share a huge part in obtaining work for themselves. That experience, honesty & talent is all they need to further their careers along with learning which Firms to work with and which Firms to avoid and when to go it alone. A whole learning process.
Right now, recruiters are not their friends, yet they still need them...and this is what fries them. A perceived lack of control over their own destiny.
"Perceived Lack" being the key. Haven't we all been there at one time or another?
Some get it much quicker and some may never get it...like our Colonels and Sams of the world...who have lived well past 40something and are still playing the blame game.
It has not escaped observation, that rather than truly helping one another to overcome the obstacles they encounter within the world of contracting, they prefer to gripe and complain and whine about it all, which does nothing to improve their situation whatsoever.
Go figure???? |
