In Reply To: "It kills me when you people constantly berate everyone for their discussions" That's what you just said right? Didn't you just berate people about staying within a discussion? Then you went on to say: "What is the obssession with you people to discuss ONLY what the topic heading says?" I have to ask you this quite genuinely and candidly; how does your brain work? Based upon your comments you OBVIOUSLY don't feel the need to speak within any defined reference. In simple English; you don't care what the topic is, the important thing is merely to express yourself. How do you get any work done? Do you develop a plan? Do you work within parameters? Don't you believe in the need for organization? Or do you just work in any scatterbrained fashion? How can you be so disorganized? I'm sorry but you don't conduct yourself like a professional. Are you one of those recruiters that came to your business by way of another profession?
Message: THIS is what I said: "It kills me when you people constantly berate everyone for their discussions when it doesn't exactly fit the topic heading...and then you never say anything yourselves about the topic at all...you just blast everyone about staying on topic." How is blasting people to stay on topic...discussing the topic? It's a bit hypocritical is it not? What about the above are you having difficulty understanding? I simply don't have this obssession regarding keeping with the topic...what do you want to talk about? Let's talk. To maintain an actual flow of conversation which is not stifled by someone interjecting GET BACK ON TOPIC is all I'm after here. It seems when you have nothing to say or contribute to someone's post, you revert back to your "STAY ON TOPIC" preaching. What I suggested was to either expand your cerebral bandwidth and go with the flow of conversation OR ignore the "off topic" conversations and carry on. BTW, if I knew exactly how my brain or your brain worked, I'd be unraveling some serious mysteries of life. Speaking within a "Defined reference"???? Okay, so I've always been one to color outside the lines...so what. Expression is what this board is all about...right? To be honest about your next blast of questions: Some days I feel ultra organized and some days I'm all over the place as in "scatterbrained". It really depends on how much is going on. The quest for organization is a continuous affair. And now to answer your final question...Yes, I'm "one of those recruiters who came to this biz via another profession"...I used to recruit talent (as in...flim, models, voice overs, commercials, runway etc. etc.) The procedure was the same...you have a client with a need and you find that need and match 'em up. Whoopsey...are we on topic?
