Lightner, the question was are Legal Recruiters of color Taken Advantage of......in light of the diversity of the work force, it would make sense for in house HR and other in house recruiters to look at outside search firms that have an inroad to a certain community. In our case we are involved with the e-groups contance website, which focuses towards african-american law students, attorneys and judges all over the country though mostly from Ivy league law schools. So, with that type of knowledge in mind are coporations taking the advantage to utilize Legal Recruiting firms like mine. If they are, what are their experiences and if not why not? |

Would companies take advantage of you?? By offering lower fees?
If you are good and have good candidates, your fees should be standard according to the industry...20-30%
If companies are in need of bringing in more individuals of color, then by all means they should be using firms such as yours.
If they are not, then perhaps you need a stronger marketing approach. It really comes down to quality candidates. If you are presenting good people on a regular basis, companies will pay attention.
If not, they won't.
