Look for an established, large, firm that has a significant network which they can use to match good candidates with good companies. Retained search firms are better than contingency firms. Because retained firms get gauranteed compenstation, they are more focused on the quality of match between company and employee. Contingency firms just want to quickly place individuals at firms and make their comission. They have less of a focus on quality. I would recommend A.T. Kearney Executive Search. They are the fastest growing firm in the retained search business and their quality is remarkable. Good Luck. |

Do you by any chance work for A.T.Kearney? I'm not trying to be rude - I just want to get a sense for whether you are completely objective given your kudos for ATK.
