then it probably is. If all recruiters made 100K+ then everyone would do it. Sales people are commonly known for stretching truth. On the message board at realrates.com someone posed the question of who was more honest: used car salesmen or recruiters? It was determined that used car salesmen are regulated by laws and that recruiters are not. Therefore, used car salesmen are more honest then recruiters. It stands to reason that if recruiters are not subject to statuatory fraud laws they will say and/or do whatever it takes to bring in the sheep. Since they are pimps this is a logical conculsion. As for the inflated figures thrown around by one individual - if that is true, that would surely verify the carrot dangled out in front of these people. Some of us are not willing to throw away principals to make money. From what I've seen of these threads and those at computerjobs.com & realrates.com, message boards are filled with stories of recruiter irregularities & fraud. When they send you on an assignment that turns out to be totally different then what they told you THAT is fraud. Recruiter fraud unfortunately is not covered by white collar crimes such as embezzlement. When I see a recruiter wasting time on message boards between 8-5:30 I have to conclude that he/she is not working, especially when they engage in repeated messages within a day during the midst of message wars. Obviously these people hide their true nature when they get so nasty in this forum and so syrupy pleasant when you talk to them. That is superficial and a lie - and that is dishonest.
