So I think I screwed up big time. Basically, I applied for an internship at Protiviti for fun and somehow I ended up getting the job. When I got the offer, my initial reaction was to turn it down because I had no intention of taking the job but my parents don't have any faith in me so they told me to take it as a backup. But now, I have an offer for a internship that interests me more and pays much more than the Protiviti internship. How should I go about telling them? I really feel bad because everyone there seems real nice and I really don't want to be a jerk even though I am. Any advice?
