In Reply To: Hi I am interviewing with PwC for a job within the Advisory Practice. I have 8 years of industry experience and the recruiter has mentioned that when we complete the process, they may make an offer as a Manager/ Senior Manager. How do they decide whether to bring you in as a Manager or as a Senior Manager? What is the difference between Managers & Senior Managers in terms of salary, role, etc? Thanks in advance.
Message: they can bill you at. Salaries overlap. At one time they were trying to get rid of the both and only have one manager. But like everything else...doesn't sound like progress has been made. If you get brought in as sr., I would bet $20 it's because the partner wants to move you up quicker and/or he thinks you can bring in some major cash for him through your billable rate and/or bd work. Role differentiators - none.
