Just anyone who works at any of the big firms in NYC. 80-90 hr weeks doing "research" and writing briefs are commonplace.
Very few cases ever get tried in front of a judge or jury anymore so you can forget about getting that type of experience.
Oh and the turnover - its not too different from a Big 4 audit firm either. Good luck to you. |

How much experience do you have working in a law firm?
I realize the nature of law firms - i'm not under any illusions. I'm not sure why you even bothered to mention that few cases get tried in court - as though this matters to anyone. (Wait how many cases are done for F500 clients - isn't thats whats important!)
starting salaries for associates just got bumped to around 145K + 20-30K bonus which will probably be followed by even higher numbers in coming years by the likes of skadden etc.
Good luck to you too. I've also heard of girls (sick as it sound) being attracted to the likes of lawyers. Not so much to auditors. Its a prestige thing.
