Thanks for the quick response. Did you get the job? What was your GPA? Because they asked for your transcript, does that mean they were looking for a particular GPA or just making sure you graduated? In case you have'nt noticed, I did'nt do so hot(2.7), because I worked full-time while going to school full-time. Is that going to hurt me? |

Yes, I got the job. I had a 3.0. I went into assurance and I believe they look at the GPA because it's part of their quality controls.
They are very understanding about you not being able to focus 100% on school as long as you have a good explanation and have done something worthwhile with yourself since then. I went to a commuter school, worked all throughout college, and was taking 18 hrs in my last two semesters while having a wife and a new baby boy at home. Also, I had passed 3 parts of the CPA by the time I interviewed; I passed the last part before my start date.
The partner was very straightforward with me about the type of profile (GPA averages) that PwC hires. Fortunately, he put things into context and extended an offer the day after the interview.
I know there are a lot of people out there who dog Big 4, auditors, etc, but I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be here.
