Message: I am now finishing up my Masters in Accounting in Florida and I have received an invite for an office visit to the PWC NYC office.. I have a 3.4 GPA for my masters... and I will be CPA Eligible in Florida before I would begin work in NYC... I chose to buzz straight through my masters instead of going on an internship with the Big 4 since you need it in Florida to take the CPA exam... My Question is: Do interns get higher offers after their internship than a full time entry level recruit like myself would get? So will it hurt my offer since I didn't go on an internship? Also, in New York you need years of experience and most new hires don't have a masters yet, will my M.Acc. give me an advantage? Is this at all considered when making an offer? I also have a year and half experience with a small local CPA firm while finishing my degree. Does this have any influence? Thanks for any advice, I am extremely excited for my visit and I look forward to any responses.
