In Reply To: Don't bank on getting a PwC sponsored green card immediately. Typically 12-18 months after joining is the norm and then with local and regional sponsorship. In response to the post from deetsoi - if you mean an H-1 visa - then these are designed for non-US nationals who cannot be transferred from an overseas office, i.e. direct hires. The INS limits the number of these each year, so any organisation wishing to use this route has to take their chances in having enough available. I presume you are currently studying here under a J-1 student visa? If so, check with INS on whether you can undertake Intern work with it. You will need to confirm (if not already) that you are legally entitled to work in the US.
Message: What if a partner/Dir/Sr Manager gives the go ahead to HR to start processing GC ASAP? How many layers of red-tape is involved ?
