And here grms5yr is where I will vehemently disagree with you. Basic risk management principles apply to job search/acceptance.
When you have a family - children, ties to the community, etc...Taking an unnecessary risk can be quite damaging in multiple ways.
If the individual in question only had one option, then I would agree with you. In this case, they appear to have multiple options.
Weighing some basic information, I would say that PWC is not the best choice for this person at this time. Does that make PWC less attractive to them and others? Of course not. Maybe in 3-5 years, circumstances will change. PWC is not the end all, be all. Being independently wealthy, healthy, and wise is the end all be all.

will vehemently disagree with YOU. I've rarely heard of anyone damaging their family much less their ties to the community simply by taking a job that did not work out!! Like you yourself said, this person appears to have lots of options; those won't go away if pwc doesn't work out, they will still be there, so why not give it a try? Life is all about taking risks and refusing to move out of your comfort zone is at least one common recipe for unhappiness.
