I had the opportunity to offer my resume to PWC today, and I was struck by the immediate "we'll get in touch with you" response and lack of communication from the firm's rep. I approached the person enthusiastically, trying to share with her/him my longtime good rapport with PWC employees over the years and around the world at my previous employer. She/he did not seem to really want to engage. Does the firm exclude people right from the get-go? The only thing wrong I may have asked is what specific indsutries PWC works with in my town. It's not as though I were clueless about the firm, but region-specific info is hard to find.
Any thoughts? I have always wanted to work at PWC, and I even told the gal/guy that I saved the best booth for last. However, when the rep from E&Y spends half an hour speaking to you and actually looking at your background, it's hard not to get a better impression of them.
