In Reply To: Rochelle, Bonuses are like the weather. Vague. Uncertain. Varies. No one ever knows how much they're going to get until it happens. Towards the end of the fiscal year, a bunch of partners get together and look at how much the firm has made, diverts some of that into a bonus pool, and then allows each partner/local office/cluster (this seems to vary) to decide how much and to who. It's supposed to be based upon your rating. I'd like to caution you about something. From your description, it appears that you fall into the category of an "experienced hire". If you've never worked in a Big 4 environment, you're prone to a shock of the cultural nature. Not sure how you got into the PWC interviewing fold. If it was through someone you knew who worked at PWC, I would definitely bend their ears on some of these questions. Also, what I've typically seen on titles and salaries is that if they believe you are worth xy dollars, that's the title you get. For example, if your base salary requirement is 80k, you'd probably be brought in as a senior. I don't know this for sure. Just wagering a guess based upon what I've seen.
Message: I hope you interviewed for M&A or ITS or SALT or something. Otherwise your JD and LLM is going to be worthless and you'll be filling out tax returns. Have fun!
