In Reply To: ~ NYC ~ : Many thanks for your input. I interviewed for an Associate Assurance position on Monday (along with three other candidates) and still haven't heard anything (it's currently Thursday). I keep asking myself if I would have heard by now were I clearly not a choice. Also, from what I gather from previous postings, 25-50% of on-site interviewees receive offers; thus, I'm thinking only one or two of us four candidates will make the cut... Thoughts?
Message: What NYC had mentioned is pretty consistent with what I experienced. It does vary from office to office depending on the need and the number of candidates being interviewed. It's true that if it's obvious that you're the perfect fit and all the interviewers like you, you'll get an offer quite soon. Also to mention that if a lot of candidates are equally qualified and liked, then that's when it may take some time for them to decide. I have helped out with recruiting, and from what I seen, those that the interviewers like will get offers right away whereas the remaining spots will be selected from a pool of remaining candidates in which there may be inconsistencies amongst the interviewers. In terms of rejections, I don't know what the deal with those are. I wish you great luck! Best!
