Is the 6 month thing a requirement for applying for new positions on Career Choice? I hadn't heard of that requirement. I'm looking to transfer offices and transfer from CIPS to FS. I've been here for about 6 months, so I guess it's a moot point, I just hadn't heard of it before.
Any advice for applying for a new position via career choice? |

Not sure where I heard the six month rule but I do know that it's true.
Here's the thing - and take what I'm going to say with whatever (size) grain of salt...
PWC is a political beast. Career Choice is (to me) and end-vehicle. You see something you like, you're best bet is to NOT apply for it. Huh (you ask)?
Get yourself some contacts in FS. Wherever you're located (office wise) - contacts contacts contacts. That's step one. Step two is to figure out how to not piss off your coach and the food chain above that. If you haven't figured it out already, some of those people take transfers out as a slap in their face UNLESS they are the ones that really wanted you gone to begin with.
I could go on and on here however, I don't know what your specific background is, why you would to go from one area to another, etc... The bottomline is that if you want to have a looooooooooong ass career at PWC, this whole career choice thing is the end of a process - not the beginning like most people might think.
And that's my grain of salt, two cents, etc...
