I went from Deloitte Consulting to IB.
If you went to a target school then you can still try for banking recruiting if you hear of openings etc. Or wait till the Fall of 06 recruiting wave.
If you were hoping to leverage experience at PwC and attempt to jump into IB, your best bet would be going for an associate position after going to a top MBA program. However, if you have your heart set on IB (as an analyst) I would network like crazy and hope someone at a bank gives you a shot. Lastly, I wouldn't expect to learn an IB skillset in big 4, but you can pick up some skill sets and leverage your PwC network as people within PwC may know people in banking. |

I am considering a similar switch (currently work for a DC competitor). After working in both industries, was this a positive move for you? Is IB any more rewarding, or is all smoke and mirrors?
