Yes, its the norm. I am from the Southeast Region and I know in the NY Metro and Northeast regions its the norm. In fact, ive talked to a partner and hes told me that when they look to promote, they prefer someone with financial audit experience because they know how the controls tie into the substantive piece of the audit better than anyone else....they can be more effecive in the integrated audit....(This was probably too much info!)
Talk to your coach and you mentor and they will give you the scoop....
