I will be starting in SPA this fall. However I also want to broaden my experience by working as a financial auditor. So would it be a reasonable request to have me on financial audit engagements every once a while? |

Its a very reasonable request, infact, its encouraged! Usually around the end of jan and into feb is when SPA busy season winds down and the financial audit busy season builds up again. In my group of 75 people, about 10-15 are doing audit rotations. In fact, there are indivuduals who do DMG and DA&I rotations. You just have to let people know what you want.
