In Reply To: The larger offices in CA are Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Jose. Orange County and San Diego are smaller, but that can be a positive as well. It would be better to figure out what type of work you would like to do before you figure out which groups are stronger in each office. Another consideration would be the types of clients you would want to work on. For example, the San Jose office works on a lot of hi-tech & software companies. San Francisco may have a more diversified client base.
Message: I would like to go into either assurance or advisory. I haven't thought about product groups yet, so I am not leaning towards any specific group. Another factor for me is the cost of living and the city itself. Since I have never been to the West Coast, I would like to pick a city that has a relatively cheap cost of living, while providing a good life to college graduates. P.S I've heard of some problems with the LA office on this board. Is that true? Thank you
