I am trying to get an internship with PwC in California. Even though they are trying to recruit me in the D.C area, I would like to work in Cali for personal reasons. Since I do not know what offices are big markets and good ones, could you please tell me some of the better ones on the west coast? Also, could you tell me what groups in these offices are strong?

The larger offices in CA are Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Jose. Orange County and San Diego are smaller, but that can be a positive as well. It would be better to figure out what type of work you would like to do before you figure out which groups are stronger in each office. Another consideration would be the types of clients you would want to work on. For example, the San Jose office works on a lot of hi-tech & software companies. San Francisco may have a more diversified client base.
