Message: How to? Author: leehrat02 Date: Dec 30, 2005 5:08 PM EST Any advice would be appreciated: I graduated from an Ivy 3 years ago phi beta kappa, dicked around for that period (applied and got into a few top 14 law schools but decided law isn't for me), and now am interested in getting a big4 position for a future investment management job post MBA/CPA. I hear that accounting is a great background for these positions. Since I didn't take any accounting courses in undergrad, i need to either get a MAcc now or complete the courses in some other way. I was thinking about completing my course requirements at GA State (my local univ) but without getting the MAcc (too much time). According to their website I would be eligible to get a CPA in GA. My question is would a Big 4 firm be willing to hire me without the MAcc? (considering my undergrad resume but also the fact that GA State isn't the best school). I'm assuming I would get hired due to the high demand but was looking for other opinions. Thank you.
