Hi,
I am a PwCC Principal Strategy consultant out of NYC and became part of IBM BCS after the acquisition 3 yrs ago.
Am looking to relocate to London and am considering PwC PDS / Strategy Manager positions.
Would appreciate if someone could help throw out some compensation numbers. Saw a couple of job ads in some sites for very low salaries.. around 55K Pounds. I currently am drawing $145K in NYC and am looking at a starting salary of 115-120K Pounds.
Is that in the range? Any suggestions?
Thanks all! |

One thing to note is that in general, salaries in Europe are lower than what you would get in the US. The exception being Switzerland, where salaries are amongst the highest in the world. But in mainland Europe, people often take a lower salary, for the sake of the lifestyle, that you would normally not be able to get in the US. Also in most mainland European countries, if you lose your job, get made redundant etc. you are entitled to unemployment benefit, which can cover you up to 70-80% of your salary for up to two years. Unfortunately, the UK just plain sucks....lousy salaries, high cost of living and horrible social security coverage! If you want to make good money in the UK, go freelance/independent.
