well first of all how old are you? usually entry level pharmaceutical sales they want them young...right out of college, barbie and ken doll looks and you must be sharp as a tack with your anatomy and medical terminology and the buzz words each company supplies you with....secondly..there is virtually NO WAY they want someone without related experience..trust me I am a recruiter..I know...they don't care if you are selling cars for Donald Trump or President of Ford...if you don't have the pharmaceutical basic selling background and didn't start from the entry level grunt work of detailing to doctors office at a company as basic as Eli Lilly...9 times out of 10 you can't and won't get near a pharmaceutical/medical device or biotech recruiter or HR person..and your resume usually ends up in their trash..so i recommend applying online to a place like lilly or pfizer or smithkline beechem and get your resume to them, attend one of their open houses and start from the ground up...you need to prove yourself there first for about 3 years before you go anywhere else!! anyone else have an opinion to what i claim here i would love to hear it... good luck to all |
