Hi. I am graduating with my doctorate in organic chemistry from UT Austin in May. I am not interested in a reasearch position in industry. To make the jump I assume I have to start at a sales position like everyone else. I am wondering if having a doctorate will help in any way with respect to climbing up the latter in such a company? Also, what would be the best options having a doctorate in chemistry when transitioning away from sales? Thanks in advance for any help.
