I agree 100%
IT field is crawling with all sorts of people..
It is a truly globalized field where it practically doesn??t matter where you come from
You would be up against competition from India,China where the salary are a fraction of the west..
Furthermore, quality is not as critical as say in investment banking so the competition is very much focus on price.. Simply bad news??
Do your calculations properly..

Well Sam, "quality is not as critical as say in investment banking so the competition is very much focus on price" I couldn't agree more and that's been my basic point in all my posts here. It's not that management doesn't care about quality it's simply that so many people have joined the I.S. feeding frenzied that the quality has been diluted. A good example being the straight out of college kids who immediately become "consultants" with no experience. Why the heck would anyone hire an unproven kid as a consultant? The end result seems to be that people are still willing to hire under qualified candidates but of course they're not willing to pay the high bucks. At least they have some common sense! This then leads to the truly talented suffering on the wage front. We all get painted with the same brush and many of the people doing the hiring can't tell the difference between true talent and BS. That would be Bull, not Bachelor.
